What we collect

Device information. When you visit the site we automatically collect your browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, which pages you view, search terms, and how you interact with the site. This is collected through cookies, log files and tracking pixels, and is used to load the site correctly for you and to understand how the site is used. It is shared with our platform provider Shopify and with Google Analytics.

Quote request and enquiry information. When you request a quote, contact us, or use the chat on our site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the details of the apparel you are asking about, and any artwork files you upload. We collect this directly from you and use it to prepare your proof and estimate, to contact you about your enquiry, and to fulfil your order. It is handled through Shopify and through our form and chat providers.

Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number. We use it to process payment, arrange shipping, provide invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you about your order, and screen orders for fraud. Payment information is processed by Shopify and is not stored by us.

Marketing information. If you sign up for our newsletter we collect your email address and use it to send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business:

  • Shopify powers our online store. You can read how Shopify uses your information at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used. See Google's privacy policy, or opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads is used to advertise our services, which means information about your visit may be shared with Google for advertising measurement.
  • Our form, chat and email providers receive the contents of quote requests and enquiries so we can respond to them.
  • Our shipping carriers receive the name and address needed to deliver your order.

We may also disclose personal information to comply with applicable laws, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.

Advertising

We use Google Ads to reach units and organizations looking for custom military apparel. This means you may see our advertising on other websites after visiting our site. To learn how targeted advertising works, visit the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of several services at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests, order records and the artwork you send us so that we can produce reorders without you having to resend your files. If you would like your information or your artwork removed from our records, contact us and we will erase it, except where we are required to keep it for tax or accounting purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or updated, to have it erased, and to have it provided to you in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ed@vb-customshirts.com.

If you are a resident of California, these rights include the right to know what personal information we have collected and the right to request its deletion. You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, we process your personal information on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, or our legitimate interests. Your information will be processed in and transferred to the United States. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file downloaded to your device when you visit our site. We use cookies that are necessary for the store to function, cookies that help us understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences so you do not have to re-enter them.

A full list of the cookies used by the Shopify platform is maintained at shopify.com/legal/cookies. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can block or delete them through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

Do Not Track

There is no consistent industry standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, so we do not currently alter our practices when we receive one.

Children

Our site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
